Contemporary art usually includes traditional photography as a medium of magical artistic self-expression mixed with the technological potential of the photo camera. Being a photographer, Yulia Rantseva has passed several stages from the beginning to the current point where she feels the freedom to experiment. Yulia started to take photographs in 2018 as an amateur. Since she was 25 years old, Yulia was experimenting with photography and technological means to perform her own style in photo shooting.

Her ideas of the cultural mixture — modern and traditional, the influence of men on the urban environment, and the uniqueness of every moment of life might be seen in Yulia’s artworks. The recent project “Gods among People” shows the way a person can build a body as ideal as sculptures and even Gods. These photographs combine the images of Ancient Greece and Roman cultural ideals and our contemporary understanding of beauty and aesthetics. Another exhibition “Before the down” as a part of the international art weekend program in Budapest has taken place on February 4-5, 2023, representing Yulia’s photographs. As a young artist, she is a photographer of very strong potential, who has shown her creative imagination, talent and willingness for professional development. The project “Nothing is Impossible” shows another of Yulia’s concepts, providing the evidence of everyday life of ordinary people in such a wild world as we realize it today.

The architecture and elements of it fixed in her photoshoots are perceived as another artistic language for Yulia. Her potential as an art practitioner is well recognised by how she sees architecture through the prism of impregnability, grandeur and precise settlement rates.
