Anastasia Epishina is an artist and a representative of the so-called “Nizhny Tagil school of fine Arts”. She works as an illustrator, graphic artist (printed graphics, etching) and teacher. The artistic world of Anastasia Epishina is mysterious, enigmatic , vulnerable and fascinating. The subjects of her artworks turn from everyday to mystical and surreal. She achieves multilevelness of her images with minimal expressive means (line, spot, intersection of planes and textures).

Amazing female images of Anastasia are finely stylized and made in a recognizable style. The figures are expressive, elegant, and at the same time look like Egyptian goddesses and female expressionist images. Anastasia“s works are majestic, proportionally elongated, drawn with lively lines and resemble Picasso”s graphic sheets or Schiele’s sketches.

The color scheme emphasizes the mysticism of what is happening — muted tones, intense shades of pink and red, a variety of gray shades. The poses of the models are always non-trivial, the angles are unusual, the space of the picture is mobile.

The enveloping silence of Anastasia’s works makes her works convenient for long viewing, as if the viewer is left alone with something inexplicable and at the same time attractive.
